A revision of character

SIGNAL

In late 2019, I came upon a video from The Polyglot. Within it, she presented approximately 6-8 anime-styled characters that she had drawn herself.

ANALYSIS

At the time, I interpreted this as a message. I believed that she had created each as a potential option for me, within whatever story “they” are telling. She was asking me to choose which of the options I would like to represent myself.

ACTION

So, when I saw my favorite option, I made sure that the camera knew. I made a gesture indicating that “#2 is my choice.” At this point, I already suspected that I was being watched.

I chose a character who was tall and someone lanky, with a long black trench coat, and black hair. She described him as somewhat moody and emotional, but incredibly intelligent.

Then, I went on with life.

ANALYSIS

Many months later, I have returned to her channel in an attempt to find that video again, but I cannot. It no longer exists. I have even messaged her about it, but she never responded. Probably because of this trust system.

Oddly enough, it doesn’t exist in the this list of removed videos, either. I can only interpret this in two ways:

  1. Either the video was removed from theasmrindex.com, too. Or;
  2. This was something like an A/B test, and only a certain subset of people saw this video. Perhaps theasmrindex.com never indexed the video in the first place.

Whatever the case, the characters were beautifully-drawn and I wish I could see them again.
