The Amish Man makes it perfectly clear that he is connected to me.

MILESTONE

This video released just one hour before I was hospitalized with kidney stones.

SIGNAL

The Amish Man produces a very heartfelt, very stern video encouraging me to never give up.

ANALYSIS

Without saying a word, The Amish Man makes it perfectly clear that he and I are connected by the same flaw. The same crime.

He got caught. So did I, but they want to let me disappear as an anonymous figurehead. They want to show me mercy.

Verify, then trust.

They have to be sure that I have changed.

SIGNAL

The Amish Man says, “I have to try and reach you. I’m talking to YOU! Just YOU. It’s never going to change; not then, in the past, and not later, in the future. It’s always going to be here. This situation. Just YOU, and I. And I have to decide if I’m going to stop everything, and help YOU.” - @2:02

ANALYSIS

The Amish Man is very clearly speaking to one, specific person in this moment. His demeanor says everything.

He’s right: what I did in the past is never going to change. I cannot hide from it. I should not hide from it.

They need me to speak about it.

He has to decide if they are going to stop this entire sting operation, and put their resources towards my new system of rehabilitation.

SIGNAL

The Amish Man says, “I know you think you’re alone right now… and I know you think you can’t talk to anyone around you… and I know you think nobody notices, or cares… but I think people do care. I care.” - @4:40

ANALYSIS

I may be alone, but The Amish Man has made it perfectly clear that people are listening.

If this was about arresting me, they would have done so already.

SIGNAL

The Amish Man says, “I don’t give up on you, but you don’t give up on me. We get through this thing together.” - @7:51

ANALYSIS

Him and I. We’re both connected by the same problem, and both obligated to speak about it. Together.

SIGNAL

The Amish Man says, “The number one worst fate than death is to live in fear.” - @8:55

ANALYSIS

I agree. I have acted fearlessly throughout this entire process. Even when doing so may seem reckless to others.

The only thing I fear is living in limbo forever. Never getting the help that I need, never able to help bring these ideas to the world.

SIGNAL

The Amish Man says, “We’re going to recognize the problem, come together, and find solutions to the problem. And you and I will do it together. We’re not going to give up.” - @11:54

ANALYSIS

I recognize the problem, and I want more than anything to fix it.

SIGNAL

The Amish Man says, “So many people in the past fought all the way up to today to get us here. The least we can do is try and keep going forward… I’ve seen such horrible stuff, horrible things, this last week. And I have to turn on the microphone, and the camera… and I have to talk to YOU. I have to tell you… we’re going to get through this together. Maybe someday, we’ll have the courtesy to speak more openly…” - @13:00

ANALYSIS

Humans have been searching thousands of years for a solution to this problem.

SIGNAL

The Amish Man says, “They don’t give up. Do you hear me? Well, do you? Because I assure you, I never gave myself the luxury to quit, and it was never given to me. And if I can do it, we know you can do it, too! Because you’re much stronger than I am, and you always were…” - @15:53

ANALYSIS

Notice the change of perspective here? “If I can do it, WE know you can do it too.” This may indicate that he is the one with the problem, but he is working with a group of people. He’s working with a team. SCP-001 perhaps?

Perhaps he was caught for involvement in the really bad stuff. I only really dipped my toes into the water.

SIGNAL

The Amish Man says, “That’s why they have to put you down… because they don’t want you to know how strong you are… how we all have the ability to push things forward. How one person can make a difference. How one person can make change. How the heartbeat of one person can be the rhythm of an entire nation.” - @17:04

ANALYSIS

Foreshadowing?

SIGNAL

The Amish Man says, “You see, when you make the decision to stop what’s going on in your life, and make change, that has to come from within… I’m here to reassure you that you’re making the right decision.” - @20:04

ANALYSIS

The Socratic Method. The Fold. Reflected light.

Change comes from within. People cannot fix you. You have to fix yourself, by recognizing the problem.

SIGNAL

The Amish Man says, “We’re not going to quit. Do you know why? Because we have no choice. No choice was given to us. It’s not an option. Our lot [in life] is to go forward.” - @24:21

ANALYSIS

He’s absolutely right. This is about children, and the future of humankind. Quitting is not an option.

SIGNAL

The Amish Man says, “This time will define us, and we have to decide how we will be remembered.” - @26:51

ANALYSIS

I am The Ink. We are The Architect.

The Fodder got left behind.

SIGNAL

The Amish Man says, “I know that I’m not telling you everything… we have to look at the world through our own Prism…” - @29:16

ANALYSIS

He has secrets. What does he know about Prism?

SIGNAL

The Amish Man says, “Something very exciting in the works…” - @32:21

ANALYSIS

Rescue?

SIGNAL

In a later video, The Amish Man makes another context switch, “I’m here to help YOU. That’s right, YOU. And I know YOU are watching right now…” - @19:00

He continues, “[It’s] justifiable that we do not leave you behind. Some things are just meant to be.” - @21:21

ANALYSIS

Again, “we” implies that he may be working as part of a team.

Is anyone ever going to reveal themselves?
