A unknown initiative

SIGNAL

On 7/26/2020, The Raven released a video. By the time I attempted to watch it several hours later, it was gone, and another had been released.

The Other Half

ANALYSIS

At first glance, one might think this was a re-upload. Clearly, the title of each video is nearly identical. Clearly, she changed something, and re-uploaded the video.

However, the other video wasn’t actually removed: it was made private. For months, one could click on the link for the first video, and you’d be presented with a message stating that “authentication is required/this video is private.”

Today, many months later, that is not the case. The video has been removed.

ACTION

When I noticed that the video was private, and not actually removed, I speculated that my anonymous researchers may be trying to perform an A/B test upon the world. Perhaps there was a whole subset of people who could actually see it, while there were others who could not?

So, I added the link to my website. Maybe it’ll be helpful one day.

ANALYSIS

As stated, after many months, this video was removed.

Now, with Ink.U development paused, this video could be replaced with anything. Researchers can put whatever the hell they want behind this link.

I am even more certain that this will be used for some kind of A/B test.
