Owls Like Me

Corroborating Digital Testimonial Influence The Case Worker The Inventor The Raven
The Inventor chooses her bird name.

I’m the asshole

SIGNAL

In response to my death note, The Case Worker responded in a strange manner:

The Inventor

ANALYSIS

I refuse to believe that The Raven is a horrible person. She may be ignorant, and her actions may lead to suffering, but I can tell that she has a good heart. I can tell that The Inventor loves her. As explained here, The Case Worker’s response must be misinformation.

I must be trying to communicate in the wrong direction.

ACTION

After a few days' analysis, I sent the following message to The Inventor directly:

The Inventor The Inventor

ANALYSIS

I sent this to The Inventor because I needed The Inventor to ask The Case Worker about me. As evidenced here, her “parents” never tell her anything; she must ask them explicitly.

That doesn’t mean I can’t tell her what to ask.

In this case, The Case Worker had actually given me the fuel needed to make this happen. The Case Worker said something terrible about The Inventor’s best friend. By demonstrating this, The Inventor would be compelled to ask The Case Worker why she did that.

Yes, this was manipulative, but I had already primed her with a story explicitly telling her that I’d be doing this. And I waited less than 24 hours to tell her that this was all a lie.

I still feel terrible about my actions.

SIGNAL

In response, The Inventor enacted her exit plan. It began with a public shaming:

The Inventor

After, she completely shut-down her Discord server and deleted her account:

The Inventor The Inventor

ANALYSIS

I don’t really see my messages as “harassing,” per-se, though I do understand how they may have affected an already-traumatized girl.

I suspect her actions were a fear response to my use of her real name, Isabelle.

And I suspect that this exit plan is exactly what was supposed to happen.

It’s interesting that she would mention an “anonymous platform on the Internet,” and yet, I was not anonymous at all. I literally sent her and The Case Worker a copy of my driver’s license!

Bird law

SIGNAL

Several days later, The Inventor shared the following Spotify playlist with her patrons:

The Inventor The Inventor

ANALYSIS

I suspect that this was The Inventor choosing her bird name, “The Dove.”

This assumption is further bolstered by the name of two different songs. One, “Such Owls as You,” may relate to the owls of HollowPoint Organization. The other song, “Hope,” may relate to a recent IMVU meetup she had with a handful of people.

The Inventor added some baby animals to her room, and asked that participants name them. I offered the name “Hope” for one of the fawns.

This isn’t strong evidence, but given the fact that I messaged her from an account called “The Crow,” and her friend’s name is “The Raven” - I don’t think this is too far of a stretch. Especially given everything else I’ve seen.
