BrooksQuest⌗
ANALYSIS⌗
Introduction⌗
BrooksQuest is an up-and-coming roleplay series heavily-influenced by HarmonQuest. In it, a series of 7 popular ASMR artists - and one bumbling idiot - play-out a tabletop RPG, which will be animated by our production studio in Australia.
BrooksQuest will use the storytelling capabilities at The Source to allow you, fellow adventurer, to join the fun! (Here is an example story.)
Plot⌗
A lonely, single necromancer is looking for love. In his search for “The One,” he happens upon a treasure chest full of rings - each one of them different and unique - though all holding the exact same magickal power.
He also finds a note within:
The Sigil of Binding
To he that seeks eternal love
Prepare thy finger
And their voice
Wear thy chosen band forevermore
Or death shall you part
With no hesitation at all, our intrepid hero begins removing fingers.
He has only 4 remaining.
Cast⌗
The Necromancer⌗
Ryan is a 4000 year-old necromancer (played by The ASMR Ryan), who is unable to speak with women. Every time he tries, Ryan turns a bright shade of red, fumbles over words, and makes a fool of himself. It is for this reason that Ryan has been alone for his entire life.
He is finally ready to do something about that.
The Bard⌗
Gina is an undead bard (played by ASMR Gibi), and Ryan’s very first bride. He found her while searching the local graveyard late one evening, while drunk. She was just so easy to connect with! Gina listened so well! Ryan HAD to have her.
And thus, he brought her back to life, binding her soul to him forever. Putting on her ring, and calling her decrepit body from the soil, he looked upon his bride for the very first time.
“I love you,” our beloved necromancer said.
“I’d recommend you keep your eyes and your mind off my property,” she whispered, in a surprisingly masculine voice. Turning her head to the other side, he could see why:
Oh my God, he’s an idiot.
“I fucking hate Ben.”
The Healer⌗
Hope was a demonic shaman and healer - a long-time personal friend of Ryan’s. She was the wife of his brother, whom died in Naxxramas many years ago, when he lost his Internet connection to a gentle breeze. Ryan vowed to take care of Hope and their children, out of love for his fallen brother.
Putting on the ring, and taking another finger, Ryan looked upon his new bride and their two children.
“We aren’t dead yet!” she whispered, pulling at the leash around her neck.
The Rogue⌗
Tori (played by Slight Sounds ASMR) was a vampire rogue, and one of the most apologetic assassins Ryan had ever met. He found her empathy for others to be intoxicating.
“My lady,” Ryan said, “I offer the most precious of digits, my thumb.”
“I’m so sorry,” she whispered apologetically, “I’m vegan.”
The Druid⌗
Lauren is a skeletal druid, able to take the form of a gigantic black panther. She was also the wife of Ryan’s OTHER brother, before the two drank some bad kool-aid, and landed six-hundred and sixty-six feet underground.
“I will care for your unborn child,” Ryan boasted proudly, showing Lauren the stump of his right pinky finger.
“Your brother’s was bigger,” she whispered, unimpressed.
The Archer⌗
Calli was an archer in the streets, but a the grim reaper in the sheets. Little did she understand the depths of Ryan’s depravity.
“Such a beautiful name,” Ryan said, while examining the sarcophagus with love, “My sister’s name was Calli, before the plague took her. I will honor her memory by wedding myself to her spirit.”
“I AM your sister, moron!” she whispered angerly, sitting-up from her slumber.
The Warrior⌗
Venus (played by Busy B ASMR) was a hairless, fleshy abomination of an orc warrior. 9-feet tall, and covered in open sores, battle scars, and decay, she was hideous to behold.
“But she is mine,” Ryan consoled himself, “She is the only One who has ever seen me for who I truly am.”
Laying beside her gigantic corpse, Ryan stared into her empty eye sockets.
“I would do anything for you,” he whispered, “Goodnight, Moon.”
“Duuuhhhhhh…” she drooled.
Ryan smiled, nodding off to sleep.
The Thief⌗
Tanner is an undead goblin thief with no hands. As the main antagonist in this story, Tanner was specifically hired by Satan to bring Ryan’s reign of shame to an end. The job was simple:
Take a single ring from his finger, and The Cult of No-One would fall. Ryan would die.
Tanner signed the contract, looking at his toes. The reward was amazing, but his missing digits would make this difficult.
“Better start practicing,” he said, “Venus is so damn hot.”
